Admissions

All initial inquiries for admissions of children to Butterfield Youth Services shall be directed to Phyllis Palmer, Admissions Coordinator for BYS. A standard referral form (called 'Intake assessment') is available to persons wishing to make referrals to BYS, to assist in the process of gathering and organizing the necessary information. You may contact Phyllis Palmer at PhyllisPalmer@BYS-Kids.org or by telephone at 660-886-2253, to request a copy of the referral form and other information. You may return completed referral application materials by postal mail, or by fax, but you are cautioned against sending any identifying personal information by e-mail, because e-mail is not considered secure for this purpose.

Only children will be admitted to Butterfield Youth Services who have been determined in advance to be in need of the service, with consideration to least restrictive environment suitable. As a screening principle, and policy of BYS, no child shall be admitted into any residential program of Butterfield Youth Services without prior evaluation of alternatives in the child's own family and community.

No child or adolescent shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or religion in his or her eligibility for the services of Butterfield Youth Services.
