John, I was once at BYS in my youth. From the ages of 11 until I turned 15 (1984-1987). I can still remember my days quite vividly. From the OLD homestead located way out in what we liked to call "Gods country" to the South Ranch and then on to the New Homestead. I still remember running outside a burning house and forgetting my shoes...and the headlines "Poor Timmy even lost his shoes". It makes me still smile and laugh even when the times seemed the worst. I browse the BYS site today and see the old pictures. That's me on the front porch of the South Ranch. I can't recall who the staff person was that was with me. I also see the old station wagon, and notice the front fender banged up. Ya that was my fault as well...horse playing in the car with John Lickty(sp) and crashing into Leola Anthony's new car. I know I made some people mad but...I was forgiven.

Barb Kennedy was a huge impact on me as well. She was a great all around person someone that I called a "pillar" in my life. She was a GREAT COOK and even after culinary art school and spending 4 years in the Army as a Food Service Specialist I still cannot replicate her Goulash or Beef Stroganoff. Lynn Meck, Jeff Blue, Sheila Stephenson where just a few of the people that have left a lasting impression on my life. I live in College Station, Texas where I work for Texas A&M University as an IT/LAN Administrator. I am married and have a wonderful baby daughter named MaKenzie Blue Ramsey.

But this isn't so much about me. It is about you and your lifelong contribution to provide the stable enviornment that allowed me to become the adult I am today.

I wat to say thank you and enjoy your retirement.
